Never goes as planned....

Today, I had planned on opening all my blinds and windows and cleaning my house. Of course, things never go as planned. Koben woke up at about 2 am, crying and rubbing his ears. So I sat up with him until dawn, I think he went to sleep about 6am, but he only slept about an hour. Mommy didn't get any more sleep. I knew he wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I had already called ahead and made an appointment for today to have his ears and lungs checked. They could only get me in at 4:15, because my doctor works late on Tuesdays since the clinic is open until 7:30. So after I dropped Chloe off, Koben and I had just gotten home, and the poor baby threw up all over the kitchen floor. So, I called the office and asked them to please put me in earlier with someone else, he was miserable and very cranky. So I got an appointment for 11:00, managed to actually see the doctor at 11:45 (ugh) and of course he has an ear infection, in one ear anyway. This is Kobens first ear infection. I have really lucked out with both kids in that department. I think Chloe has only had one or two, and I know one was in conjunction with strep throat, and she hasn't had either since. So, they sent off his prescription, and told me it would be ready by the time I got to the pharmacy in Molalla ( I was in Canby.) Of course they had not received it yet, the computers were still "talking" to eachother, and they were waiting for it any minute. So I did my shopping, took everything out to the car, and went back in, and of course it still wasn't ready. The computers had stopped talking, but they still needed to process it. Ugh, I finally left, because poor Koben was exhausted. So I will go back after I pick Chloe up from school. So, needless to say, I really just don't feel like cleaning the house. I think the toilets can wait for another day. Wasn't much of a day off, but my baby is now sound asleep on the couch, and they are so sweet when they are sleeping, that it makes it worth it. =)

The poor little guy & you. I hope he's better now. Synoah gets ear infections a few times a year but neither of the girls have ever had strep [knock on wood].

Funny how often a Moms 'intended plans' dont go off with out a hitch or two or ten. ;-)
