Is it really almost March?
Yes, I know there are a couple more weeks in February, but my gosh, is it really almost March? Where does the time go? It seems like it was just Christmas, and here it is, tax time for us. Yippeee!! Ok, so it's not very yippee. Craig's business should be receiving really nice profits this year, which means we will be paying dividend taxes, which stinks, but will be receiving nice profit, which rocks. What we pay doesn't come directly from our pockets, so it never seems as bad. Hopefully we will finally be able to put in the new floors. We originally were just going to do the kitchen, and then decided to add the dining room. Now we are putting wood laminate in the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, and I think also our room, and putting new tile, or some type of vinyl into the bathrooms and laundry room. So what started out as a few hundred dollar project in the kitchen, turned into a few thousand dollar project. We would like to finish our front porch also this year, which we have the lumber for, but husband hasn't motivated himself towards yet! We will be taking some time off this spring to finally paint our room (which I have had the paint for since last year) and the laundry room, and we will finally, finally, have all of the house painted, inside and out. I am still contemplating a new front door, or painting the old, and adding a nice storm door. We never did buy the new dishwasher, so my kitchen is black, white, and stainless, so hopefully we can take care of that also. Problem is, my taste is a little high. I want the dishwasher that has the built in disposal so you don't have to rinse your dishes at all (which is good, because Chloe stinks at that) according to my boss, who has one and loves it, and says you don't even have to rinse your plate with egg on it. Go figure. I rinse the dishes so much, we can never tell if it's clean or dirty. So lets just say that dishwasher is two to three times more than the others. I'm still talking myself out of it. Do I really need it? Probably not. Do I really need organization in my laundry room, and my bedroom closet? Yes, very much so. Guess I'll spend the money there instead. I think we have decided to stay in Molalla for a bit longer. We're not finding what we like for the right price. If I am going to spend $800.00 more a month, I want a bigger house than I have now. With the same things I love in this house. Big kitchen, island, lots of windows, sky lights, vaulted ceilings, shaped doorways, nice cutouts and plant shelfs......why was I moving again? Oh yes, bigger house. I would like a living room and family room, or another bedroom, or a den, or even a basement. Somewhere where we can separate the kids when they want their own space, or a place for entertaining, or just somewhere else to go when we are all making each other cuckoo. Someday. The land on this place just keeps going up and up. I am very glad we picked the biggest lot. It is now worth the most. None of the new houses have a yard this size, so I guess we did good! Time for bed, all this home improvement talk has worn me out!

If you need help with your deck or floors some Saturday give me us a call. Brent put in our floors, and last year built railings around our deck. He's pretty handy. He loves any opportunity to get his tools out.
