Ugh, again

Ok, so Craig and I agreed on a floor color last night. I went online to check out the shipping. It is being sent from Ontario, Ca. Turns out, shipping is $938.00 for a pallet of flooring. Well, that's not quite right, because an hour before that, I had looked at it, and it was $785.00. So, when I went back to look at it again, it had risen almost $200.00. I figured it would be $400.00 or so for shipping, but almost a grand? The flooring is only $1,500.00. That shipping seems high to me. Yes, I know gas is high, and yes, that is probably why the flooring is so cheap, they nail you on shipping, but jeesh, $900.00?????? Crazy. So now, once again, we are torn. Do we order from the one place, that has free shipping, but we have to wait until fall, do we hit the pavement again, and try to find something local that we like, or do we blow the budget by $800.00?? So torn, why does home improvement have to be so hard?
