Did another week truly go by?

Yup, another week did go by!

I really can't report anything exciting. I spent most of it working. On my day off on Tuesday, Chloe and I went to the dentist. Oh boy! I finally, after 9 years, have a filling that needs to be replaced. I haven't had anything done since I had all that work done after Chloe was born and sucked all the flouride out of me. So, I get to go back. Yipppppeeeeeee. At least now we have dental insurance, so it won't cost me an arm and a leg. Chloe also needs to go back. She had an area on her back molar that a sealant obviously did not reach, so she has a sticky spot that needs to be scraped and filled. I guess it's just a surface cavity, and won't require any novacaine.

After the dentist we went to Office Max to get school supplies. I spent $18.00 and got just about everything. Good deal. She does still need a spell checker, which everyone seems to be out of, but I think someone around us should have one they never use. I don't want to have to buy one, they are about $20.00. Really, do they need a spell checker? I never had a spell checker in the fourth grade.

Other than that, I have been working, working, working. This was a big bridal weekend, so of course we were swamped, but we made a gorgeous wedding cake. Well, actually we made two, but one I really loved. It was a three layer cake, separated with 3' pillars and stuffed with pink roses, alstermaria (no, I can't spell that) and greens. The top and bottom layer were ivory frosting with chocolate brown scrolling, and the middle layer was plain ivory with a pink ribbon and bow wrapped around the middle. Then we put the three layers atop two more huge layers of cupcakes. the two cupcake boards are separated with champagne glasses. The cupcakes were white cake, in gold foil, with a chocolate dipped ganache on top and pink and white flowers. Yum! it was very tall, and very cute when it was done. We actually lifted the entire thing onto glass blocks, and then surrounded the blocks with more flowers, and white rose petals. It was way pretty! The second cake we did was three sqare layers, also separated, with light pink frosting and white borders and dots and a black ribbon on the base of each layer. Very retro. Then we filled the between layers with pink dahlias and white hydrangeas and lifted the cake and filled the underneath also with the hydrangeas. It was very pretty also. It was nice to do something new and different with the cakes. So often the girls pick something out of the book and we change it slightly, or change the colors, but we don't often get to change it so much, so it was fun.

Well, it is time to work on cleaning this house. It is sorely overdue. Later we are going over to Craig's parents house and I am going to make dinner to celebrate Craig's mom's much belated birthday, due to all of her surgeries lately. We are having Shrimp alfredo. Yum!

Good day to all!
