Jeesh, what have I gotten into?

Ok, so this is all VERY new to me, so if you are reading this, and laughing, fine, go ahead and laugh. I am not a computer genius. I have been coaxed (quite ferociously) into this by friends, and do I know what I am doing? No, not at all.........and since I live in what everyone else considers the middle of nowhere (which is growing quite fast, I will add.) I am going about this alone! So, off I go, to see what else I can figure out about this thing! Helpful hints are always welcome!
